David Flanagan - VP of Research and Training

David, a co-founder of Gemini Solutions, is best known for his bestselling books on Java and JavaScript, but he also works as a programmer, consultant and trainer. Having lived in Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific as well as North America, David is equally at home lecturing in Australia, Switzerland or Manhattan.

David has been programming computers since 1981, specializing in Unix and Linux systems since 1986, and concentrating on Java and Web technologies since 1995. David has developed a wide range of software, including internet applications and eCommerce of which some can be found and purchased through his web site davidflanagan.com. David's clients have included M.I.T. Project Athena, Bear Stearns, and Oracle. He was briefly an adjunct faculty member at the College of Charleston (South Carolina) and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
