Senior DevOps Engineer
POSITION SUMMARY
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our software products and services. With your extensive knowledge of DevOps principles and practices, you will play a key role in driving our continuous improvement efforts.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- ➢ Design, develop, and maintain our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, ensuring
- scalability, availability, and performance of our applications.
- ➢ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and QA, to define
- and implement CI/CD processes and best practices.
- ➢ Automate and streamline build, deployment, and release processes, utilizing tools such as
- Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
- ➢ Configure, monitor, and manage cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google
- Cloud) to support our applications and services.
- ➢ Implement and maintain configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet) to ensure
- consistent and reproducible environments.
- ➢ Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization, ensuring high availability and
- reliability.
- ➢ Collaborate with development teams to improve application deployment architecture,
- ensuring efficient resource utilization and scalability.
- ➢ Implement and maintain security practices and measures, including vulnerability assessment,
- penetration testing, and access controls.
- ➢ Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues, working closely with cross
- functional teams to minimize downtime and impact on operations.
- ➢ Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in DevOps tools and practices,
- recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILL SETS
- ➢ Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- ➢ Minimum of 2 years of experience in a DevOps or related role, with a strong focus on
- infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline management.
- ➢ Extensive hands-on experience with Azure cloud platforms
- ➢ Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, groovy, bash
- ➢ In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar, and experience
- implementing and maintaining pipelines.
- ➢ Strong understanding of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible) and infrastructure- as-code
- principles (e.g., Terraform).
