Business Analyst - Captial Markets
POSITION SUMMARY
- Gemini is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented business analyst and project owner to lead end-to-end project delivery for our marquee capital market clients. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical capabilities, technical knowhow with leadership skills to ensure project success through careful governance, effective stakeholder management, and precise execution.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the single point of contact to assigned clients, ensuring clear communication, accurate understanding of requirements, and timely, high-quality delivery across the project lifecycle.
- Own end-to-end project governance, including requirement gathering, solution design, documentation, and framework development, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
- Conduct internal and client-facing meetings (stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, governance cadences), providing structured updates and ensuring decisions and actions are clearly documented and followed through.
- Understand the technical aspects and architecture of the solution deeply enough to assess issue criticality, triage incidents, and work closely with engineers to drive resolution.
- Analyze and drive incidents, production issues, and draw insights from operational metrics to identify root causes, recurring patterns, and opportunities for stabilization and improvement.
- Review and analyze support tickets to identify trends and themes, converting insights into actionable process, product, or tooling improvements that enhance client experience.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality client-facing reports, presentations, dashboards and business decks, effectively communicating the team’s work, value delivered, and roadmap.
- Present solutions and outcomes in a compelling, consultative manner, effectively “selling” the team’s work.
- Initiate, lead, and track continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
- across the project, aiming to improve efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Support training, onboarding, and capability-building of team members, contributing to the enhancement of both financial domain knowledge and technical skill sets within the team.
- Plan and coordinate weekly changes, project management of key upgrades/rollouts, sprint planning, execution, and monitoring of team activities to ensure predictable and reliable delivery.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILL SETS
- Good understanding of capital markets and trading lifecycle (preferably including equities, bonds, and derivatives).
- Prior experience in a data-driven role or exposure to trading and financial technology, with familiarity in handling market and reference data, APIs, data feeds, external data vendors and structured/unstructured datasets will be a plus.
- Experience using JIRA or similar tools for requirements, task, and workflow management.
- Working knowledge of Excel, O365, SQL and Python for data extraction, theme derivation, data representation and analysis is preferred.
